I was listening to "Like a Prayer" the other day on a whim and came across this jam "love Song" that I have not heard in like a thousand years. I think this was one of Prince's coolest duets.

Love Song IS tops!

One of his only true collaborations and it's the better for it.

All the others are Prince songs that he "let" the guests sing on.

The one that rocks my socks is U Make My Sunshine. Love it to bits.

I love "Love Song" as well...it's such a good song. Too bad this was the only song made available to the public! This was Prince and Maddy at their prime!

I also like 'Baby Knows' w/ Sheryl Crow but you really cant hear SC that much...

and I LOVE "Providence" w/ Ani DiFranco's TO THE TEETH!!! (Though it was more of a background vocal from P...love it anyway!)

"A Love Bizarre" is far superior.
"Love Song" is nice, but surely not special.

I'm not sure if "Love Song" is his *best* duet,but it's a great song.Madonna's and Prince's voices blend very well together.The song has a haunting,hynotic quality to it.My favorite part is this line...


"Time goes by so slowly for those who wait and those who run seem to have all the fun"

But to be honest,the rest of the 'Like A Prayer' album is so impressive that "Love Song" is actually the weakest track.

I love "Love Song" but I really, really love "Love Sign" with Nona Gaye.

Maybe somebody could come up with a tracklist for a Duets CD?

Yeah, LoveSong is cool.

And eventho he computerized her vox and kind of made her
hard to catch, I think "My Computer" with Kate Bush is
another example of prime collaboration. Once you figure
out which part is Kate's, and listen to it on headphones
it becomes a stellar co-op. Damn, I love that song.

Hell no.. that song kinda bores me. What about "Nothing Compares 2 U" with Rosie? Arms of Orion with Sheena?

arms of orion is, hands down, prince's worst song ever. ugh...

but lovesong is a great tune...very sexy but still reserved and intimate.

He could have used her better, though. I played that track 2 a friend of mine who's really into Kate. She was disgusted at how little Kate there is on the track. I mean, she's only used for backing vocals on the chorus. Shit, that's all she's done in 10 years isn't it? Great song, but it could have been better.

LOVESONG. IT'S DEFINITELY NOT THE TYPICAL DUET AND THE SONG IS TRULY PRINCE'S SOUND. THE SQUEALS, BACK UP VOICES, ETC. IT HAS HIS TRADEMARKS ALL OVER. THEY'RE BOTH ICONS BUT LOVESONG PROVES PRINCE IS MORE SENSUAL AND SEXIER THAN MADONNA.
