I’ve just listened to NEWS for the second time now and I am in heaven. This is clearly a Madhouse record but like the brilliant Madhouse records released on Paisley Park, NEWS probably would have gone by unnoticed without his name on the release. And speaking of his name.. every thing I’ve heard since he reclaimed his birth name has been A1. The (bold, beautiful) Rainbow Children is both fun and uplifting and you can hear that he had a lot of fun making it- something I haven’t heard in his music since Around The World In A Day & Parade. Up until now I had always wished for a Revolution reunion but now, I couldn’t care less. The magic is back! I am a new member here although I first got into Prince at the age of 8. I joined his Warner fan club at 9 with the release of Dirty Mind and didn’t really lose interest until Graffiti Bridge. Sadly, I didn’t regain interest until Emancipation and this, coincidentally, was the first live Prince show I ever caught. I lost interest immediately again after that but I’m back again and more enthusiastic than ever. I’m in San Francisco now and as soon as Prince gets here, I’m there.
