Once again uptown has raised the bar. This had better be good. The magazine has started to slow down with new reporting (are they going to continue it?). Congrats to them for not just shutting down like EVERY other Prince magazine (including the NPG mag! hahaha).

Long live Uptown... in whatever form it takes.

Every moaner, remember - Uptown is THE ONLY people giving you factual, historical and accurate information on Prince's recordings.

The official channels are laughable, and they remain the ONLY channel of accurate information on Prince's unreleased recordings.

Seriously - small print aside, I love Uptown. I've written for them in the past, and everyone I dealt with was incredibly encouraging and friendly. I'd love to throw something together for 'em again someday, muse willing.

As someone who hasn't cared for much of what Prince has released in the last six years, this book is a godsend. I wasn't able to get copies of Turn It Up or Days of Wild, and my only goal at this point in the game is to try to build the largest collection of studio outakes as possible. Half the fun of this is discovering shit I'd never heard before. This book looks like all I'll need to keep my love for P's music alive. In the midst of all that, I'll keep believing that P will drop another bomb someday that will rock my ass like his 1979-1996 output.

I can disclose a lot (if not all) of the small mistakes etc. from previous publications have been corrected already. All of the text is read through and corected/updated where needed.
