I saw some other orgers mention that they think Musicology is a weak track, or is a good track, etc.
Is the track already out there somewhere?!
I thought I was pretty well informed, but haven't heard it or saw it yet.
Am I overseeing something?

it ain't circulatin, i don't think. far as i know the only folks who've heard it are those of us who were out at paisley durin the last party...

So, Dansa, do you think that like 'When Doves Cry', 'Musicology' might be a track that doesn't immediately grab you on first listen, but will get under your skin after a few listens? Or do you think that Prince will have to have embellished it a bit in order to make it a little more digestible to a wide audience?

When Doves Cry rocked my socks from the first listen - the last two or so minutes of it were complete bliss. I think it was radio and MTV playing it into the ground that dulled the song for me, and it's never seemed like a song Prince has particularly had fun playing live.

I'm very intrigued by the idea of him making a new video...I'm wondering if he's gearing for a full-on comeback project aimed at the mainstream, or if this is just gonna be another goodie for the club, or maybe something to tack on as an extra for the next album?

As I understand it, the samples made available for 'remixing' from NPGMC are from Musicology, so everyone who participated in that little offering already got to hear and remix elements from the song.
