therefore i think Purple Rain is quite a good choice. the whole girl / boy, pimped out 80's look WAS prince. Even now if there's a cartoon or spoof of Prince on the TV, it's a guy in make up with a purple overcoat. so i can see why of all the covers of Prince, PR has come out on top. personally i think SOTT was an amazing picture, but i guess many wouldn't have a clue what album it is (if you took P's face away)
