I just think it's sad that this is the result from such a great list of music. Ofcourse it's hard 2 document a concert. Best way to experience it is to see hear and feel it live. But normally a video gives you the oppertunity to see more or things u couldn't see from inside de concerthall... This choice is indeed "poor" considering the great openingtrack TRC on it's self... The image is not to bad but defenitly not Awsome. So if he chose for the music how come we don't get what HE realy wants... I mean if he's on his Jazztrip, let us be part of it. Show the Jams, no matter the picturequality right... Remember the First Aveneu videos with the try outs from Sott and Purple Rain. The image is shit but it's the BOMB because the guy is doing what he likes the most. Pleasing himself with new music. And therefore taking us with him...
Anyway, I can't complain for the rest. I think he has given us so much.. Much more than many other artists will ever do.

I was gutterd when I put the Alladin DVD in my player. It looks like a bootleg video, not an official release. I'm afraid Prince is saving money in the wrong places. Why do a professional shoot to ruin it with a bad DVD encoding.

It proably was done on a home quality DVD authouring system, not a professional one. It only costs 2000 dollars to maka a professional DVD with a professional company.

The music is brilliant that's not the problem, but you do expect the quality to be at it's best when you purchase an official release from the NPGMC. Prince would never record music on his home computer and release it without mastering it, why does he do that with videos? The only right thing to do is to rerelease the DVD in professional quality, and allow us to return the bad copys. I honestly thought my copy was just broken at first.

I have bought everything from Prince without thinking about it, the quality has always been there, that's how I like it! Let's hope Prince is getting the feedback from this forum so he can make sure this does not happen again.

4:3 doesn't cut it.Proper widescreen would have been good.The picture itself is awful.I thought i was seeing double sometimes.

The sound is average at best.As a DVD collector, this is a total waste of the format.

Still, there are some nice moments on it, and a couple of great performances, just a shame the production wasn't handled a little better.

Can't it just be that I like it and you do not like it? I respect that fact it may not be your bag... can you do the same?

And may I add that the packaging says that the DVD is in Dobly Digital. That is simply UNTRUE. It is regular Stereo!
