i finally found a copy with the beginning on it.

Anyway what are ur views on this jam? I think it is under-rated and I love it so much., The music is beautiful and makes me calm. I would love it with or without the vocals. My friend is a big P famatic and he cant stand Player...

Player is the jam. It comes off so easy I can see why it is calming. No big theaterics..just a nice smooth quiet melody with Prince sing-talking non chalantly. An album of this type of stuff would be sweet.

I love this. It feels so intimate and secret, as if he's talking to you directly. It is reminiscent of Me Touch Myself in the style of talking.

Could you see a Dr. Dre remix for the video with Snoop and Prince picking up chicks and poppin' Kryz?

For some reason, this song always reminded me of 80s Kool and the Gang... lol.

It's a cool song though, even though I never had a version that was clear enough to be able to make out any of the lyrics.

yeah it sound like Cherish in a more laid out beats way. I love how the falcetto "plaaayer" come on.
And yeah i can picture it being a hit with the likes of Q Tip or Outkast, or even Snoop singin this with Pharell sayin "plaaayer!"

PP4, we should get talking sometime, we seem to have similar tastes.

I find the way he says Player slightly longing and melancholy but that is the appeal. I just like the intimacy of it, it really does sound like he's talking to you.
On DTT lyrics, they say that this is reminiscent of Money Dont Matter 2 Night, and I can see that slightly, but it reminds me more of the boot Me Touch Myself in its style. If you havent heard that you should its a very revealing and mystifiying song.

It also reminds me a lot beat-wise of G-Spot.

Yeah but they(Vol.3, 4 & 5) got some intersting gems over here and over there.

Like his demo version of Earth Wind & Fire's "Super Hero" I really didn't expect that at all!
