I know alot of people will have theories on what PRINCE will do if Inducted, some say he wont show or wont perform, all of which is possible. But knowing PRINCE and the way he has of doing what you never expect, he might just use this as a way to set of some kind of 20 year Purple Rain celebration, even though I cant see him doing this because it benefits Warner Brothers too much if he does this, however if he has something planned, "say" redoing the Purple Rain soundtrack now and maybe even utilizing artists such as the TIME to even rework their music for it and release it as a whole new project. BecauseI feel PRINCE is smart and he knows that Warners wants to capitalize onthe 20th anniversary, and they will look to getting Purple Rain played more on TV and movie channels and approach from the 20 year anniversary angle. Whatever happens I know that something will, something is brewing. Rhonda Smith spoke ofRecording sessions all through this summer and Shelia E has mentioned this too, what this will turn out to be I have no idea but I do think something is brewing. The air is right for something, I mean all of PRINCES artists from that ERA are FREE and can record what they want, Wendy and Lisa, The Time, Shelia E, and PRINCE himself really have no record companies that they are bound to, so it looks like anything can happen. But as for the HALL OF FAME speculation it will be interesting to see if he gets in, it is tough because of the voters being lame. CHICAGO never got in, it took QUEEN 3 trys to get enough votes, and then there are some lame acts like the DIXIE CUPS or DEL SHANNON in there, what did they influence??? But I do think its a cool group up for it this year, George Harrison will get in and deserves it and so does Mellancamp, but Im not sure if will make it even though he has the respect. Didnt see Van Halen on the list but they are eligible.
