Chatting with a music enthusiast the other day (she'a American, I'm British) and she completely blew me out of the water by telling me something I DIDN'T know about Prince...Apparently he wrote a song called 'I Am' for someone called Jonny Lang.

Anyone heard of this?

Mr Lang is the screaming nincompoop that appears @ the beginning and end of 'Peace', he's also on the 'Rave' DVD, at the beginning of Purple house.Prince apparently thinks he's 'Crazy' going by what he says at the end of the song.I thought he was shite personally.

Doesn't seem to be around now though, which is a good thing.

But i have heard about Johnny Lang:He is a young (maybe 20-22years old) blues guitarist.Very talented and i think he was in the audience,during Rave 2000.
Maybe Prince wanted to jam the purple house blues with him.

He is a blues guitarist, and was in the crowd that night. Prince asked him to join on stage, but he didn' t come up.

ludwig's right. he's the young wunderkind of blues years back who played with bb king. he should've accepted prince's invitation to play with him.

I saw him live in concert some years ago and he really is very talented IMO. BTW he also is in "Bluesbrothers 2"
