Come On he never said that. Listen Under The Cherry Moon was so Fun. The Chemistry Prince and Jerome had was Great. Funny Harlem Nights was on tonight and well Prince just reminded me so much like he was so into Pryor and Cosby and Poitier stuff. Well you know he loved that Comedy. Anyway that film worked so well. I wonder if he still speaks to Eddie Murphy. They were Friends once. | |

What didn't you Enjoy UTCM? It's a fun movie. Listen, maybe I'm Biased in the sense that I do kinda love everything Prince does;but what am I suppose to do?. I love his work and I never have been disappointed with what he has put out. It's always Fun and it's always been Enjoyable. And listen Prince never claimed to be the best Director there is and well how can one argue with those eyes and that Ass on the bed? Come On are you CRAZY? Listen The women Were Screaming in the Theater when he was Pouting and when he had that pose on the bed. Myself and several other fans just used to Ew and Ah when that movie was on cable and just telling ya how many times I watched it and paid to see it in the movies. I'm so in Awe of Him what can I tell you. I don't Care if he thinks it Mad cause he's just that great and why shouldn't his fans just Idolize Him? He's just Brilliant and Gorgeous and I don't give a Damn about anything cause to me he'll always be IT! Nobody and every Man knows this could EVER Compare or even come Close to What Joy he gives to me through his music. Trust Me he is the Only 1! | |

I'm Surprised he said that but yes I did hear he was Hyper Critical and we Know he is with his Videos and music. I wish he would just listen to his Fans who Love Him and Just go with what we say. Listen he'll never be a disappointment to Us! Anyone who leaves him is Unfair to Him. We always loved his Quirky Behavior and all. I wish he would stop Question and Criticising his efforts. I'm sick of it cause what he puts out has Always been Better than anyone elses. He's such a Great Musician. | |

Have you seen his latest live concert DVD...if that alone passed his seemingly "hypercritical" taste, I don't know what else won't... "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

I enjoyed the DVD very much . The only regret I had is that I wish it was longer. What didn't you like and why wouldn't Prince like it? It's very good. His playing and the songs and he looks Fabulous. What don't you like about it? | |

Josh, NPS wasn't my favorite but MAD SEX and New Power Soul made it Cool. I try to Always look for the Positive Josh and well when Parade came out right well my friends weren't digging it cause it was So different from his dance stuff and Purple Rain and you know what? I was like This is Best Music he's ever Done. It was Classical and it was Perfectly Orchestrated and it was just a Masterpiece. So you know what I Always Really get Prince nd where he he coming from. I'm so Stupid in the sense that I am so Awe Struck by him but well he just is my Hero. Always will be and I just don't wanna Know or Hear Bad things cause Truly I don't Care and Never Ever Will. He'll always be my favorite . Everybody is Surely entitled to their opinion,but I for one just love the man and even if I'm mad at him well I still love him and Never would I hold any hatred or ill thoughts towards him. He's very sensitive and why Upset or hurt him or his feelings? I dig what he looks like now. Did Then and always will. Listen Josh he just is Gorgeous,Talented as Hell and just well he better get used to the fact that Muffins will Praise him forever. Suffice to say that he put his spell on me with his music and well I've been a member ever since. I adore the Muther. As a stand alone film UTCM is pretty poor, with a weak script, plot and direction. For us fans however it is one of the few chances we get to see Prince's light hearted side for a whole hour and 40 mins and so makes it quite an enjoyable experience, his acting isn't that bad either.
The album on the other hand is an absolute masterpiece, and would esily make my top 5 (and probably top 3) list. 'Under the Cherry Moon', OH MY GOD! Please everyone who reads this thread get your Parade album out and re-listen to this track, it is immense. "Lovers like us dear, are born to die" | |

Actually, he did say that. He said it Neal Karlan in Rolling Stone, 1990. I posted the entire interview on this thread several months ago. Having said that, I still enjoy UTCM. I think it's a charming little movie that ended up being what it wasn't intended to be... ***************************************************

I have always liked UTCM... when it came out I saw it 2 or 3 times.
I thought it was really cute...and Jerome stole the show. It also "introduced" us to Kristin Scott Thomas whom I loved in it, and I waited to see her again. She didn't have another mainstream movie til 10 years later. Maybe it didn't deserve an Oscar, but it wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. I enjoyed it. And I definitely think Prince can do wrong. I have every album up until Come an then I just couldn't take it anymore.  |
