give me two reasons each of you why i should get it. 1. It's better than the original. 2. It won't get you the dry heaves like the first one did.

do you think Prince released this version becuz he didn't like the original as it quite a commercial sounding record?

only half of the album is actually remixed. A couple other songs are a few seconds longer. It's a strange release. The only redeeming thing is the Hot Wit U remix.

It also has an extra track, the excellent "Beautiful Strange". [This message was edited Fri Aug 15 19:40:28 PDT 2003 by PhilG]

It's only got one lamb in the picture, and the picture is the same as the Rave Un2 version.
Eve's on it, she's CRAZYSEXYCOOL. But the packaging and booklet in Rave In2 is better. Musically, I prefer Rave In2 because it leaves off 'Every Day Is A Winding Road' and 'Strange But True', and it includes 'Beautiful Strange' (albeit I prefer the version of 'Beautiful Strange' without the Mike Scott guitar work). ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

Better features:
Rave In2 is a good remix Undisputed Moneyopolis - much better than Un2 Greatest Romance - extended version Tangerine - extended version Baby Knows - extended by a few seconds (still a crappy song though!) Man O War is also a good remix Beautiful Strange - nice track, slightly overrated though Prettyman - extended (enough said!!!) No advertisment or silent tracks - hooray! No Everyday Is A Winding Road - crappy song Worse features: No Strange But True (the best track on either album!) Hot Wit U remix is lame Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

Oh, I liked that one too. Must be the sentimental attachment to the Vanity 6 classic. As for the rest of the album... Well, I've hardly listened to it as the remixed songs weren't all that good to begin with - except for the classic Rave Un2..., of course. But then, that's sentimental value too, innit? It reminds me of the Batdance period. They played the Batmix all the time at the PAN Gay Club back when I started going such places - young and hung and full of... Gosh, how time just flies by! You'll be happy. You will also, after digging the fantastic Beautiful Strange, have to seek out the original version of that song. And then you will have to get the longer version of the Monty Day's Of Wild. It never ends... If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

It never ends... i think i already have at least 20 versions of DOW. i have the other official version on Crystal Ball and a studio version on a boot called Platinum. and of course the other 18 live versions from various live cds.
