Hmmm. Probably been reported 1,000,000 times before but I
just noticed this yesterday since I never had the Lois Lane
joint [Qualified - Prince penned] on cd until a friend was
kind enough to provide me with a copy of the album last week
and so I noticed that the basic rhythm/drum track for the
Lois Lane song "Qualified" is the same as "The Max".

Just thought I'd share this piece of non-info for your
convenience.

Lois Lane? OMG, I remember them all too well from when they were the warm-up band on the Nude Tour.
They were dreadful: "Sing: Ah-ih-ah! Ah-ih-ah."
I qoute that, because that was their most catchy lyric.
Jenny Morris got booted for them - I assume because they were babes while she was "just" a good, talented singer doing some funky, good stuff.
But then - that was the whole mentality back then - both on the Paisley Park label and on tours: What good is talent if you've got boobs.
Us poor fans... Having to suffer through Lois Lane prior to every Prince concert... I'll never forget that. It was THAT traumatizing an experience.

Actually, [raises an annoying finger to exemplify his point]
Lois Lane aren't that bad you know, they've been a good band
for more than a decade now and they do have quite some boobs
but indeed they do have talent as well. They write a lot of
their stuff together and they've had some pretty cool albums
since their Prince involvement.

In fact, Prince wanted to write and produce an entire album
for them but since they didn't want to be considered one of
his clones, they opted for just 2 songs and some production
and instead did the rest of the album themselves.

They sure had more talent than 85% of the other [similar]
acts Prince has been involved with.

Well, I still didn't like their show. So I didn't buy their albums - not even the one with the couple of Prince songs on it, but... Not having heard any of their albums, who am I to say you're wrong?

Hey, I remeber Lois Lane now. They were those 2 hot girls with a funky sound that you could groove to. I was too to dance anyway. And the first time I saw them, I didn't know that they were apart of Prince's royal empire.
