Prince/Bowie Cinema shows Looks as though these two great artists are thinking along the same lines.
DAVID BOWIE BRINGS HIS 'REALITY' TO CINEMAS WORLDWIDE THE WORLD'S FIRST LIVE AND INTERACTIVE MUSIC EVENT On September 8th 2003 in London, David Bowie will make technological history and bring his new album 'Reality' to cinemas all around the world. Bowie performs live and broadcasts via satelite around the world, proposing to answer questions interactively and perform songs that are requested. To be honest, these ideas seem poles apart. However, I do recall Prince announcing an interactive ingredient for the Hit N' Run tour a few years back where the audience would choose the next song to be played by selecting from hand held devices. It didn't happen. The closest he has got to interactive technology in a live performance in recent years is handing out percussion to the front row and getting everyone else to clap on the 2 and 4. I 100% agree with you. These days Bowie is also offering to his net subscribers videos of him rehearsing for the upcoming tour (tracks like "Man who sold the world" and "suffragette city"...wow!), audio preview of his next album, and in the video section there are some COMPLETE shows on video (Live by request 2002, New York 2000, Asia 1983...). Not forgetting many fresh pictures added every day. so, LOTS of differences! cheers

Bowie has always been lightyears away from earth in a good way, his ideas through his career is what makes him the most interesting artist of our time and the next many times to come, because honestly its gonna take that just for the universe to catch up to him  | |
