Speaking of fake tracks... A friend of mine made me a CD of rare and unreleased Prince tracks that included a song called "The Color of Sex." It's supposed to be written by Prince, with vocals by Kim Basinger. I wish I could describe how bad this song sounds, both lyrically and musically. The singing is horrid and the music isn't even well played. There is NO WAY this is a Prince song, but my friends swears it is.
Anyone else heard this song? | |

Yeah, this is from an unreleased Kim Basinger album of the
same title. Here's the tracklisting: 1. Come On 2. My Love Will Find U 3. I Wanna 4. 2 Naughty 5. Love At First Sight 6. Show Me 7. Action, Action 8. The Color Of Sex 9. Will U Stay With Me There was a rumor that Prince produced this album for Kim Basinger around the Batman era, and that it was shelved. I wouldn't be suprised if Prince did indeed start working on an album for her, but I'm absolutely certain that this is NOT it. My opinion is that it IS Kim Basinger, but that it has nothing to do with Prince. I've heard it, and it really doesn't sound like Prince's work, plus the fact that none of the tracks have ever surfaced on other Prince projects (Come On is not the same as the NPG track), and the use of '2's and 'U's in the song titles is merely a ruse by bootleggers to imply Prince involvement.
