Did Prince ever do a song called '319'? I really don't know. See I was watching this clip of Showgirls and in the beginning she dances in some strip joint. But the song she was dancing to sounded like it could be by Prince. I search for info and someone said it was to Prince's '319'. I've never heard of that song. So will someone please confirm if thats true or not. Thanks. "You got a new man? Is he fine? Does he have a better ass than mine? Didn't think so.."

I think u should get that album, its called the Gold Experience, and its some of the best stuff Prince came out with in the 90's.
It was his rocker of the 90's.. no doubt about that.. I would say Chaos and Disorder is, but it just feels like an ep or something, it doesnt seem complete and his heart was in it, but I guess we all here know why.

There's another Prince song in "Showgirls", too...he musta really been down with Mr. Esterhaas' spiritual cinematic vision.

the song you are referring to fro showgirls is called 'rippopgodazippa',, not 319 from the gold experience, 'rippopgodazippa' can be found on the Crystal Ball abum.

both '319' and 'Ripopgodazippa' were used in the movie Showgirls.
Neither song appeared on the soundtrack album though due to licencing problems (it was right in the middle of the fall-out between Prince and WB).

As a former music buyer: You can always find Gold EXP. in cut out bins (bargain bins-Target, Best Buy, Borders has good ones for out of print stuff). Check there or any used record store, it was a popular album to sell back to the store... Excellent record, one of my favs.

Excellent record, one of my favs. Never seen "The Gold Experience" in a bargin bin and certaintly not one in Target or Best Buy. Are you thinking of "Emancipation"? It must have been years since you bought music or you live in some wonderful place that sells "The Gold Experience" in their bargin bin! I would check small record stores that sell used CDs, Ebay or those online dealers that sell CDs (although I've rarely used those kinds of sites, I would warn you to be careful if you do!).

The Gold Experience is has to be my favorite album. I play ths album for people who dont know much about him or are non fans. Its probably one of his best examples of how musicaly diverse he is. I waited for this album, along with every one else, forever and it was the furthest thing from disapointing. My opinion but, I love this album.
