Yeah, I like the earlier one the best.
I do like the other one too though, I've started to love that era of post Crystal Ball pre-Lovesexy (I think it's from that era right?! LOL) I like the instrumentation used, very sparse and hard/electronic - fits in very well with House music at the time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm a sucker for a major chord

BY FAR the blues-rock version. Beats the crap out of the electronic version, IMO.

The finished 'Dream Factory' version, with
Wendy & Lisa backing vocals and horns.

I like the rock version w/o Wendy, Lisa and the horns best. It captures the essence best.

i like the hard, rough version. it shows how prince is so much better when he's not so over-produced.

I'm thinking of the Agatha Christie book/movie. Didn't know it was a song too.

I MUCH prefer the pop version (the one "with the spoken intro). Its a great Camille track and would have been great on an album. It reminds me of "Good Love" a little.
I like the slower funky version too, but its terribly produced and sounds a bit messy. .

the 1st version. it wuz so weird when i first heard it, cuz it sounds like a batman-era track...then i found out it came out around '86.

Is there a live blues rock version without Wendy and Lisa's background vocals?
