Older Prince fans are cool too. Hey, don't let these young whipper snappers take away our fire. Us older fans need to chime in. We were there from day one, and have a lot to offer. These kids don't understand what makes Prince tick, and why he is now such a disapointment. So, let's get going, old folks, take the gauntlet and prove to these youngins who the funky people are. i don't think there are young fans of prince...maybe someone who listen to dad's or elder sister's records, but to be honest..HOW they can became fans actually?
Where they can catch prince music and videos? do young peole have credit cards to join the npg music clubs or buy his records via net? how about fans in europe, or asia? | |

What's the definition of an old fan?!? I'm almost 30 (!?!) BUT only really 'got in there' at Diamonds and Pearls. Saying that, I agree that the older stuff IS the best. BUT, only in terms of album CONSISTENCY and erm, 'ground-breakingness'... Maybe that's another thread. Anyway, I'm a 30 years old D'n'P man... so am I an older fan?? Yeah, there was a brief article in Q magazine where he was asked to recommend five Prince albums and he chose Dirty Mind, Purple Rain, The Family album (  ), Sign O' The Times & The Truth. | |

ah yes i remember jumping over my mom's coffee table to press record on the vcr when new prince videos would come on. i remember how excited i got when the new albums came out and collecting every magazine that had even the smallest pictures of prince in them. i also remember when my sister used to play tricks on me and scream prince is comming on tv hurry up, i'll run from my bedroom trip and fall and she would say ah man it's the gap band, im sorry i just love how excited you get when prince comes on tv.

Shit im old school prince to but just cause he aint puting himself out there as much as he use to & by the way he took himself out of the limelight.dont mean he's any less at all...the world dont matter only his ture fan's do! Im 36 & started listening to prince in 83 with little red corvette being the 1st song i ever heard from him...wow was it diff & good!!! But in my mind & alot of other's im sure to,prince's music is as exsiteing to buy today as it was when hee started. No Other artist has ever had me hanging like a puppet by a string waiting on there music like prince...it' kill's me to wait... Anyway's just wanted to add this ...TY!
