Remember the prt of the movie purple rain, where Prince finds out his father been beating on his mother again, so he grows into this rage and goes home looking for him everywhere and he finds his father in the basement, playing the piano? That songs always gave me a feeling and every since I saw the movie, I've been wanting to learn how 2 play it by ear. I don't know if this is asking for a bootleg, but is there any orgers who owns a copy of father's song from purple rain and was it ever releae like as a b-side or something?

the live version from Alanta 85 is good but, not as riveting as the version directly from the movie. Part of me wishes the version from the movie was longer. I went online an typed father song direct from the movie and it came up. best of luck.

At one time I bought a piano music book from Purple Rain and it was in there...that was long ago...but U should be able to find it.
