Sending Prince his Music BACK...

I might send one thing, just because I do support and stand by the man even though he can be a pain in my ass. Gotta love him tho' cuz it's shit like this that makes him interesting. The brother has ALWAYS done things alittle different.

I don't have anything on the list except 2 bootlegs and I'm keeping them. I'll burn him a copy if he wants though!

I would gladly show support by sending a scan of the product and signing a form stating I purchased it. But he hasn't given fans a reasonable explanation why they should turn over their CDs or if they will ever get them back.

Prince, if there's an important reason why we need to send you our actual CDs to help you with your case, just tell us. If you're simply doing this to get the music out of our hands because you don't think we should have it in the first place, go fuck yourself, or make WB reimburse me for them first.

If it was more than a greed issue, I'd consider it, but clearly Prince has lost his mind. I'm sure he could have easily sent people from his staff to music stores to see whether bootlegged stuff was being sold. It's his responsibility to make sure he wasn't being cheated, not ours. I might be more open-minded if he was more considerate of his fans. We're scrounging for scraps while the vault is busting at the seams. Do I feel an obligation to him? That depends on the situation. With something this petty, he's on his own.

First: I didn't get the e-mail since I gave up NPGMC this year.

Second: He could have had every penny I've spent on bootlegs over the years. I would've gladly given it to him had he, indeed, "freed the music".

Shit, he's got quite a bit of my money as it is.

I'm actually tempted to make cassette copies of all the stuff I have that he's asking for and send that to him...

Think that'll make him happy?
