3 months ago when Alex Hahn released his book Possessed: The Rise and Fall of Prince the majority of people in this forum bashed Hahn for his blatant attempt at demeaning Prince for no other reason than self-gratification after the Uptown suit. Many gladly paid their money for the book (approximately the same price as NPGMC membership) and ranted and accused Hahn of defamtion, defended their little purple hero and it was dust in the wind within 48 hours.

Now, Prince asks for a simple favor, which is by no means under compulsion, for his own gratification and now everyone is in an uproar.

Since the majority of complaints around here revolve around service, quantity and quality:

Here are my Questions:

• Has anyone complained and asked Hahn for a refund for Possessed?
  
• Has anyone complained and cancelled their subscriptions to Uptown for the (sometimes) erroneous information that they publish and revise?
  
• Have you complained to Uptown magazine when your issue didn't arrive in your mailbox on time?
  
• Has anyone ever complained to Moonraker and Sabotage for the quality of a bootleg?
  

These are services that many of you have probably paid your hard-earned money for. So why do true "fans" attempt to give Prince so much hell?

And as Prince fans we should not have expected anything different from a cryptic message that no one truly understands but Prince...even though it was broken down in layman's terms within a matter of hours. And this latest episode with Prince is really no different than slave being written across his cheek. What I don't get is why we are not so quick to defend Alex when he exercised his right as a journalist, but Prince has completely gone off his rocker when he exercises his right as an artist. Speaking of Uptown, I dont got no beef with that bunch of folks'.. But I just cant dig that magazine.. Its like 3 pages long and the font is too small. U add a few more pics, largen up that font, make it look nice, I'll pick up ure 6 dollar magazine.
Otherwise, its info that can be found anywhere on the net, especially the opinions in that magazine. Get With it.
