Anyone Care to Place a Bet?

Ok, so Prince's fallout with WB, even after they made him a VP and threw undeserved millions at him is well documented, as is their dismantling of the Paisley Park vanity label. He went from WB to EMI, which folded shortly after the release of Emancipation, followed that up with Rave, which helped Clive Davis get the boot from Arista, went from there to Redline Records to release The Rainbow Children. Redline Records is also now out of business. How long will it be before Hip-O Records, which is releasing the new Vegas DVD and whichever company released N.E.W.S., an album which has received more notice for its packaging than its musical content, go out of business?

Actually, and maybe I'm thinking of a different company, Hip-O has been around for a while. It'd be pretty sad if Prince managed to bankrupt them in one felled swoop..

EMI was no baby when they tanked shortly after Emancipation, and Clive Davis had decades in the business. Prince still saw to their swift end.
