How could Prince NOT make the cover for People's top 200 icons? Michael Jackson and Madonna are both on the cover and Prince got assed out by Britney Spears and J-Ho? WTF?
Even if people are going to write Prince off as a kook, he aint any more crazy than Madonna and certainly sane compared to Michael Jackson! I hate these lists for this reason. Never giving credit where it's truly due! I had to put the "p" in top edit.... I've never thought Madonna was crazy. Prince & MJ are both nuts, tho'.

It's a popularity contest. P isn't popular anymore. As nuts as Madonna and Wacko Jacko are, they have stayed in the public eye constantly. They may have contacted P, who may have respectlfully declined. | |

His contributions in the 80s rival that of MJ & Madonna. Infact in terms of popularity, Prince only really had that Madonna/MJ level of fame for a couple of years only. SOTT sold just over three million, and that's arguably more classic than anything MJ or Madonna have ever put out. |
