Which albums do you vote for most overrated/underrated by fans/public?

Be truthful...you know some answers will bother people.

Here's mine:

I think Come is a really underrated album. Space, Race, Dark, etc. are all great songs.

I think thet Lovesexy is overrated. I know alot of people dig this album, but it just doesn't do it for me.

1999 - overrated (not enough variety)
D&P - underrated (lots of music by a rocking band)

...of course, it all depend when you got into the music (with me it was in the late 80's, well after Purple Rain)

Overrated song: Moonbeam Levels

I love this song, really I do. But I really think that if it had been released as an album track, people would not sweat it the way they do. It's definitely a good song, but I think its bootleg status makes it more appealing to many Orgers.

Overrated-Dirty Mind (I like it,but not as much as I thought I would)

Most bootlegs have terrible sound quality. The music might be slammin, but if the quality is lousy, I don't want to listen to it for long.

"The Truth" is the most underrated. The future will show why.
It's nothing short of a testament.

under rated- ATWAD

Overrated- The gold experience, Lovesexy, Around the world in a day.

Yes those albums do have some killer tracks, it's just not all of that tome at all.

Underrated- Controversy, Come, and the song 3 chains o' gold!




Also shame on the person who said 1999 was overrated for not having enough variety. That is the holy grail to most P fans.

If there's any one album that SHOULD be overrated, it should be LOVESEXY.

overrated...dont get me wrong i love the times (SOTT) but it is overrated

underrated...controversy...people talk bout prince in his punk phase w/ the mind (DM) but controversy sounds more punk than DM.
