Prince, MJ and "Wouldn't You Love to Love Me" I wonder why MJ declined to use this song when Prince offered it to him. The Bad collabo was a horrible idea from jump. Personally, I think the revamped version Taja Sevelle used was perfect for MJ's style and would have fit nicely on the Bad LP.

Me too Its a cool tune but I don't see Brotha Mike singing a tune like that in his LP "BAD" which is kinda "raunchy style" in terms of its concept. It would ruin the tracklist IMO However, I heard that it was beautifuly remade by Prince's 1st female protege Sue Ann Carwell. Wonder how I could get my hands on it tho! The revamp sounds like SOTT era Prince and makes a damn good pop song. I just think it's a shame that offer didn't work out.

I thought about the "raunchy" thing but the revamped version's lyrics were tame enough for Mike and it didn't sound much different from material like Another Part of Me. Funny how he included the ever so "raunchy" Dirty Diana .

I hope I could hear Taja's version, looking at yo review about her version sounds like its one funky # I'm only commenting about the original version(P's version) lol which is very "un-raunchy". Speaking of Dirty Diana--->> that tune!

I've always thought this song would've been perfect for MJ. I can just hear him singing it. ***************************************************
Seems like the overly critical people are the sheep now days. It takes guts to admit that you like something. -Rdhull ...it ain't where ya from, it's where ya at... - Rakim

I really can't see MJ singing this song.I wonder why Prince didn't offer him a better song, considering all the great songs in his vault.

The whole competition thing was something made up by the media.MJ and Prince were actually fans of each other's work, and they both attended each other's concerts in the 80s.In 1986,MJ asked Prince to sing with him on the song "Bad".Prince declined, but offered the track "Wouldn't You Love To Love Me?" to MJ.

I also heard that Prince said 'He called that album Bad because he couldn't fit 'Pathetic' on the cover' Maybe I'm wrong but hey!
