I regard TRC as his best CD since the Gold Experience - I didn't get into it at first took a while, in fact it wasn't until I saw the ONA tour that I really started to like it.
Can't say I listen to it much now, but then I don't listen to much Prince period at the mo'. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm a sucker for a major chord

As long as Prince's name is on the cover, people will rush out and get it, no matter how horrible it is. the question is why do you care?If you don't like it don't buy it,end of story. The fact that you would create a thread devoted to why someone would buy music that you don't like shows you have way too much time on your hands. As someone else said -get a life/hobby/blow up doll. Back in the day, if he sang the yellow pages, I would've bought it!

You damn right I would buy it! I would buy 2 and keep one sealed because it would be a colectible and go up in value. People would be paying $100 for it on eBay like it was the Apollonia 6 CD.

The irony is if he did release a fart album it'd get talked about and likely chart, probably selling better than most of his 90's and onwards output.

He did fart on a record, or at least its been speculated he has. I think the track was Tick Tick Bang.
As far as I know, Prince doesn't play any wind intruments, so this would definitely be a new direction for him.

That's as close to the truth as your going to get. It's not so much the music, it how people respond to it. I can't understand for the life of me how anyone could listen to, much less purchase, country music. But I don't go around slamming people's opinion of it, I just don't listen to it. Learn to treat Prince the same way, and that bitter feeling in the pit of your stomach will (eventually) go away.

Oh, the critics think they're sooo hot, but wait til they here the Fart Album - 12 instrumental masterpieces of Prince passing wind. Marvel at the sound of Prince's hairy arse cheeks vibrating as the air quickly shoots out of his crack. #1 at the bank! ...and with a (gassy) bullet! but yeah, ewm, i think there's folks out there who'd buy sumfin like this and swear up n'down that it's great. if p put out a box set of his greatest bodily functions some people would be trippin, i suppose...it'd get big buzz over at the ol' npgmc asylum--i mean, homestead. on the four... hehehehe... I've asked myself that question lots of times...Anyone that says "TRC is more of a masterpiece than say...LoveSexy...needs to be slapped... HARD TRC is way better than Lovesexy...now come over and slap me...

Learn to treat Prince the same way, and that bitter feeling in the pit of your stomach will (eventually) go away. You know what my issue really is? It's not so much that some people genuinely like the new music, I just believe a lot of them are under some sort of delusion that no matter what Prince puts out, it's a masterpiece. The same people who defend every dumb thing that Prince does, whether it be music, business, or otherwise. The same kind of people who would get angry if you called Prince "Prince" during the whole name change bullshit. And it's the same people who manage to convince themselves that his music just gets better and better after every album. I've encountered a lot of people who will literally defend every damn thing Prince does, no matter how ridiculous it is. Anyone who would make personal attacks against someone for writing or saying something about Prince, has serious issues, and they are the true fanatics who's musical tastes are severly warped to to their obsession. It seems like no matter how bad Prince's new music is, some hard-core fans (fams) will praise the shit out of it. For those of you who love his last 3 travesties, is there any way Prince could make something you wouldn't like? Even if he has..it's locked up tight ..in the vault..never to be heard, or smelt.

As a person who has actually hear a track that was created by sampling farts, I think it would be a great record and I would totally buy it! That would be commercial gold! It's too bad no one has the BALLS to pull it off.

I wonder if there actually is a bootleg of this out there?
Hey Evil, what would the title be? Would "poom poom poom" be turned into "poot poot poot"? "P control" If it was pee it could be "B control" (bladder) Maybe "the Gas Experience" and "Emancipation" would take on a whole new meaning as well. Sorry couldn't resist. edit!
