It seems like no matter how bad Prince's new music is, some hard-core fans (fams) will praise the shit out of it. For those of you who love his last 3 travesties, is there any way Prince could make something you wouldn't like?

i guess it would depend on whether he followed through or not, plus while i like instrumentals it would be good to have some vocal overdubs, like oh there u go...damn...dats da bomb...can u smell it...its dripping all over the floor, all over the floor.if i come back as a woman i want a body like yours...so i can add some pussy fart overdubs.

There are a lot of fans that purchase all of Prince's material rather they like it or not, but really this isn't good because if something is crap and everybody buys it than maybe he would continue to put out more crap.

To me, Prince has released some wonderful music in the last two years... miscellaneous NPGMC year 1 jams, High (you can put this one together yourself), The Rainbow Children, ONA, ONA Live + It Ain't Over, Xpectation, and now N.E.W.S. A lot of this stuff is top shit, and if you don't appreciate it then that's your tough luck. I don't worship everything he's done, for example I think that some of Prince's output in the nineties was crap, but this stuff is great. Comparing it to farts, now come on, get a life, pick up a new hobby or something.

Excellent point. I mean if people genuinely likes what he's recording, then I don't blame them for buying it. But if his fans stoped buying his shit just cuz they want it for their collection, then maybe he'd get the hint and reconsider what he's doing. If you want artists to change direction, you have to let them know.

As long as Prince's name is on the cover, people will rush out and get it, no matter how horrible it is.

It's sad, but true. In my opinion, TRC can't come close to anything he did in the 80's, or even the 90's for that matter. I can't understand people's musical tastes.
