Latest On Jay Z / Prince hook up Sound like Jay wants it 2 happen, but nothing's been done yet.
Whole story link (cut n paste into U're Browser): http://www.mtv.com/news/a...lines=true Relevant text: There's two more things on his list of goals that he wants to accomplish, though. One is making an impact in Hollywood and the other is working with a purple-wearing music legend. "I'm trying to get a song on there with Prince, then I'm good," Hov disclosed of his plans for his next and supposedly last LP, The Black Album. "I [worked with] Michael Jackson [before], I got that one done. So for Prince to be the last one, I'mma be good." Xperience the Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com/

Why do rappers always announce an upcoming CD as their last? These "fake retirements" are getting kinda silly.

Jay-z was supposed to retire after reasonable doubt and that was how long ago?

He was good when he 1st came out, some of his old lyrics got truth in it. Now he's repeating the same ol' same!

Jay-z was supposed to retire after reasonable doubt and that was how long ago? Wasn't Prince supposed to retire after ATWIAD? They're a perfect match

Prince hooking up with Jay-Z guarantees that I would never buy another Prince record.

I wouldn't mind if Prince phoned in a lesser specimen from The Vault for ol' Jay Z, and spruced it up with a little visit to the studio for sexy guitar solos and a DL photo op to shut the guy up. Hey, it's money in P's pocket, so like whatever...won't make me BUY the thing, but it's not gonna make the world a worse place either...

JayZ is a huge Prince fan. In 1999, when I was at this nighclub show Prince did in New York, (after the Yahoo Internet Life awards) JayZ was standing in the front row, enjoying the show. ***************************************************
