"Baby Go-Go" By Nona Hendryx

Do u guys like this song? I personaly think its tight but I don't think it did Nona justice. Prince knew how to make a suitable song 4 Patti "Hey Mista" but he didn't made a suitable song 4 Miss Nona.

But he sure did 4 himself, the original bootleg 4 Baby Go Go (which is probably the one he had given 2 her) is genuine good funk pop song. They way it turned out on her album...i dunno why she destroyed it.

Actualy I think its the other way around. Nona's voice is very powerful and driven but like I said this song eased her groove a bit if you know what I mean.

I personaly think "Too Rough" is TOO Nona, she would def sound good in that song betta than Jill Jones. Whenever I hear "Too Rough" I think of Miss Hendryx nod

i didnt like Jill Jones voice on none of her songs other than Flesh & Blood, My Man, Violet Blue & Mia Bocca. Otherwise I didnt think she could sing. Sheila sings way betta. Damn where was Brenda?

I have to admit that I much prefered the 12" remix
of Baby Go Go to the album version. The 12" version
just had more oomph (in a real 80's remix kinda way).

I've always thought Jill & Brenda were the strongest singers to come from the Prince camp.
I've never been too impressed by Sheila's vocals, I'd put her in the same boat as Wendy, Susannah, & Lisa; decent singers and nice to listen to but nothing to go run home about, IMHO.

It's okay, I suppose, NOT one of her better moments, IMHO.

I've never heard Prince's version.
