Prince's new musical direction... Personally, I like some of the freeform jazzy stuff P is doing at the moment, but I understand those that have difficulties with this "new direction". Especially the lack of lyrics...
I wish he would do an album with tracks like "Crystal Ball". The music of this track is non-commercial and adventurous, but it is funky too and because of the vocals the track is more accessible for the average Prince fan. I think this kind of tracks will satisfy Prince's current appetite for adventure and the average fan's appetite for "Prince songs". How do y'all feel about that? You have to admit that his jazzy verision of Dorthy Parker from Jay Leno was outstanding. Very cool new verision of a great song. | |
