While people are on the Andre, Wendy and Lisa thread, I thought I'd put forward the following:

O.K., Prince and Andre recorded "Dance Electric" probably around 1985. So, did they end up patching up their relationship, or did they actually had the falling out AFTER they recorded "DE."

That song is great! It still runs through my brain from time to time...I thought that they had patched things up around the time of that song...But never heard anything else on them since the 80's...I remember that line "We got 14 years" and knowing that meant 1999...Wow, Prince has certainly changed since those days of apocalyptic doom...

I always thought Andre Cymone would be still around producing for other artist(s) after his Jody Watley run. I Guess Not! I liked Dance Electric is a cool song. Prince & Andre probably still have a talking relationship. I think Andre still makes money from Prince. He probably paid him too keep his mouth shut. That's why you do not see or hear him talking about Prince. It's like he just disappeared or something.

I've never read anywhere that that song was written for Andre - which means it was just a strong track he gave to Andre, probably to help him (maybe out of a little guilt), since Prince had just got globally famous, and Andre hadn't - he gave his surrogate brother a 'Prince' song to help him make a few bucks.

I don't know what their cuurent relationship is but i
recall prince gave andre dance electric a bit out of guilt
and that andre's mom asked him to help her son.

i think the song was already recorded with the revolution
and all andre had to do was put his lead vocal on it.
