i know its common knowledge and all (though i'm sure some people disagree) but this song is so good. in my opinion it is up there with adore! yeah, yeah, yeah i know that is a large comparison but everytime i listen to it i get that same feeling! you know, like "dag, he loves this woman!" I rarely listen to the newpowersoul cd but sometimes i need to hear the one and funky music so i skip right to them. i still don't understand why The One was not a hit on radio. it is leaps and bounds above some of this "neo-soul" that is coming outta those airwaves!

i have always liked that song especially the snaky bass line. plus he gets soulful near the end.

The song is good, though the production lets it down.
It sounds alittle, dare i say, souless.

The version he does live is far more inspired.

I luv this song. The video was great too. One of the first times that I saw P without heels. This probably would have been a hit if he had a record company to back it.

see, i didn't like the video. it was too...girly for even Prince. i like Prince being sexy and androgynous and shit but it too limp for my taste. BUT the song is cool. it sounds like the next progression from Scandalous and Insatiable. a bit. and that bassline at the end when it goes a bit fonky with the harp sound going off...now's that's kinda cool.
