Does Prince still own Glam Slam? or has he given up on the business?

They gones. The Minneapolis place is called The Quest now.
Direct competition for First Avenue. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

The rumor that I've heard over and over again is that Prince owns a pretty large chunk of Jazzmines in MPLS. It would make sense as he is always showing up and his people are always playing there.

Sadly, Glam Slam LA was a great place to go. I saw several shows there (Prince, Glam Slam Ulysses, Carmen E., etc.). The frustrating thing was never knowing when he'd play.
Your quote about the war on Terrorism is pretty funny. I actually know people who really say that phrase and mean it! lol. I wonder if those same people said similar things about Japan in 1942. Sadly, I don't think people get your ironic views. Keep it up. You'll open some eyes. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. damn, I was too young to go to Glam Slam when I was in MPLS 12 years ago... the strange law in America - you can't enter a pub before you're 21... ______________
