i wonder that if it would be a better album when you listen once a year go!

Give it a chance and Emancipation can really grow on you. It did for me and for a while there I was addicted to it. It's like a fine wine, it gets better with age.

Actually, Angie my love, it is a classic album that is a bit too radio friendly, but it is an amazing album artistic wise. Many Prince fans seem to diss it because they want to pretend to be hip, or they are stuck in the early 80's. Prince has to evolve, and Emancipation is the evolution of an artist who just loves making music. Prince was in a very good mood when he wrote most of these songs; and it is obvious that when Prince is happy he writes his best stuff. People who don't like it just don't like Prince as much as they think, or they only want him to not evolve.
Angie, keep listening, and you will find a whole world of joy in Emancipation--the album he was born to make. No comments from Frank either..lol All you others say Hell Yea!!

I just bought Emancipation today, I have no comment.
It was $11.99 at CD Warehouse for all 3 disks. "I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum"

Emancipation is an acquired taste. the butcherings of "betcha by golly wow" and "la la means i love you" are enough 2 make me not touch emancipation again at all. fwoooosh!!!
