UPTOWN BOOKS?

which of the UPTOWN books are the best and why? I am thinking about purchasing one, but I"m not sure.

How are they compared to the other books out there. THere can't be that much more info in these that hasn't already been printed can there?

I suggest you get Days Of Wild (an update of Prince: A Documentary) and DMSR.

Get Turn It Up after those. smile

Reasons: Days Of Wild is the most comprehensive, DMSR is the best biography (upto 1987) and Turn It Up is more for documentation purposes, though an invalid reference for collectors.

DMSR is the best book about Prince, period. Well researched, lots of interesting trivia that appeals to Prince-nerds like us. It's fab.

I wish Per could do a DMSR 2, to continue to present day... but it costs money of course, and it's a small market. Pity, coz it would be great thing.

I wouldn't recommend Days of Wild, unless you have very good eyesight. The print is really small.
