Prince's Poetic lyrics

I miss this side of Prince. I listened to "Desire", "Do U Lie", When Doves Cry, and even Love Bizarre; and just could not help but feel like he was truly deeply in love. Passion is poetic and vice versa. That is what is lacking these days I think. TRC was certainy a glipse of his brilliance, but still no passion, perhaps since 1986. Let's face although Sign O the Times was his best LP (IMO), Adore and Strange Relationship were the songs on the LP to suggest any connection to this well crafted poetic side I speak of.

Prince in black and white is what I call it. Remember seeing him on the cover of Parade, now look at the cover of "u Got the Look". That is a hell of a difference. It is the reason I think he cannot , and will not appeal to the masses again... unless he changes again , who knows with that guy
