Kirk could have done a better remix to his tunes...I liked it...but the production quality was a bit...
computer sounding...

I liked the beginning of the Kirky J b-sides mix, mainly
for the "Head" portion.

I can't believe I just admitted that.

The whole project was a bit of a cringe moment though. I
couldn't understand it back then and still don't now.

Somehow, I think Prince himself didn't even understand it.
I'm sure it was something that got released just to please
warners. A bit of lube which allowed him to slide from the
contractual bonds with a little more ease.

UptownDeb

I actually pulled this one out of my CD collection yesterday. I was looking for a particular picture of him, and I'd forgotten what the cover of this CD single looked like. Must admit, I've only played it once. sad

I like it!!! In fact it is in my cd player presently. The award show(forgot which one it was) that originally aired it, had great choreography to this, when they Prince's lil self out all wrapped up in a cloth...too cool.

i love the DJ Brotha Jules Remixperience.

ppl knock it,but its the only way i think 2 get hip hop listeners listening 2 Prince.

plus i think its cool, better than PurpleMedley or purple party mix etc...

havent heard 1999 New Master so i cant comment but i wan2 just 2 know what the fuss is about.

I actually don't mind it that much, probably cause I wasn't expecting much when I bought it. Just take it for what it is - a Prince "mega-mix" - they were really popular back in the late 80s, early 90s!
