Prince is a racist, anti-semite, intolerant religious fanatic and a half-white hypocrite who desperately tries to gain acceptance from a black audience. Worse, in The Moors In Spain he is actually sucking up to the North African Arabs who use the same arguments in their pointless Jihad against 'The West' as he does. I'm going to sell all those contrived soulless records I own of him to the second hand record shop. I'll keep the real music he ripped off for all these years: Curtis Mayfield (bless him!), Parliament Funkadelic, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Staple Singers, Dramatics, Sly & The Family Stone, James Brown, Rance Allen and the list goes on and on. ok...a lot of black artists have made race/culture-specific songs over the years. p.e. has a multi-cultural following and they've made lots of afrocentric music. the same can be said about krs-one/bdp.
stevie wonder ("black man"), james brown ("say it loud, i'm black and i'm proud"), nina simone ("four women"), celia cruz ("goza negra"). present-day artists have done it, too. like india.arie ("brown skin"), les nubians ("sugar cane"), jill scott ("do you remember?"). | |

You boycott Prince if that's what you chose to do, but let me tell you, there are a whole hell of a lot of Black folks that don't even know Prince is still making music. Trust me on this one. They don't have the money or means to reach him via the internet, but when word gets got, he ain't gonna need you sometimey ass fans to support his music, cause we are REAL Fans.
