Do you realise

that Prince is now older than Elvis was when he died. Just a few years ago saw the release of TRC, a fine album imo. Some knock where he's at, but I happen to think he's still cool. It could be MUCH worse. Just imagine him 60 lbs heavier pumpin' out Little Red Corvette, in assless pants, to purple haired old ladies in Vegas. shake

Ok, 15 views and no replies. A "Gee, I never really looked at it that way, Stomper. Good point." wouldn't go astray.

You seem to forget that Elvis was doing drugs...

funkystuff

it could be REALLY worse.

Prince fans (myself included from time to time) tend to get uneasy because they always have his superstar days in mind.
But it could really be worse.

The only thing I've read about MJ the previous 10 years was gossip about his whims, his finances, the children stories.

The only thing I've heard from Madonna the previous 10 years was meaningless and crappy music, always eager not to miss the latest trends.

The only thing I've noticed from Springsteen the previous 10 years is a small comeback based on the huge wave of patriotism in the course of 11th Sept.

Prince is doing very well in my opinion.

And Stomper ...
please have a little more patience. Some of us have developed a life besides being a Prince fan and just don't wait every second for a new thread to appear.

It is a matter of priorities...

Madonna is the best selling artists on the list that funkystuff made,
but surrounds herself with flashy producers to make crappy music.

Bruce Springsteen makes even more crappy music, but is on a stadium-
outselling-tour, which will keep him even as happy.

Micheal Jackson needs to become the businessman he was famous for again,
so he can clean up his financial mess. I will not mention the music razz

Prince may not appeal to the public the way he did just ten years before,
but has continued to grow spiritually and as an artist, and therefore his
music has matured beyond imagination.

Prince hasn't changed that much in the last 20 years (except for hairstyles) so there's no reason to think he will anytime in the near future so relax.
