Which is the best 'Prince and the Revolution' album? I think it is Purple Rain, although my personal favourite is Around The World In A Day. What do you think?

Very well said. I too think that Purple Rain has a more universal appeal, although it is by no means conventional. Around the day... is also my favourite as it contains some of my absolute favourite Prince compositions. "take me with you' was a good indication what Prince's sound would be like in 1985: colourful production, psychedelia and great tunes like pop life, the ladder, raspbery beret... |

I think Purple Rain worked best, but my favorite would probably be Parade CLOSELY followed by ATWIAD Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Purple Rain in a Blow Out.The Flower Power Prince wasn't my Cup of tea.in fact IMHO The Outtakes from 85&86 were far more interesting than Around the World in Day&Parade Combined.B-Sides were better than many Album tracks&"A Love Bizarre" Alone easily matched many of these tracks IMHO. mistermaxxx | |
