Adore is played during a freaky/crazy ass scene in Boots new movie I Love Boosters. His films aren't for everybody but I loved it - I do wonder if Prince would've been okay with this one 😂

Side Note: Boots Riley makes great hip-hop/funk music with his group, The Coup. They have a fantastic album from 2006 that's worth checking out - the movie is based off a song from that album ⚡

I was excited to see this already, so this is just the icing on the cake.

Another Boots Riley-Prince connection: former Coup member Pam the Funktress became Prince’s resident DJ at Paisley, renamed Purple Pam (a fact Boots wasn’t too happy about). Their album Pick a Bigger Weapon has a load of Prince references, from sampling Morris Day (‘Whaaaat time is it?’) to paraphrasing the ‘introduction of the new breed lead leaders, stand up, organise’ line from Controversy.
