I am bored to death by these special Paisley Park events only visitable for a few (US) fans... remixed & remastered? then release it for EVERYBODY. Every format. DVD, Blue Ray, Vod, CD, Vinyl, Streaming... what's so difficult about it smile

Is this the March show at First Ave where it is a preview of Parade stuff?

with only a handful of ATWIAD songs?

at an ATWIAD event?

Certainly they wouldn’t have remixed and remastered this concert in 4K for just one Paisley Park party.

They did the same with a W2A show recently (Greensboro maybe?), that was shown at PP and promoted as remixed and remastered bla bla bla...and I don't think thatvwoud be release, co sidering we got one from the same tour released officialy...

There seems to be no rhyme or reason for these events, releases, etc. Furthermore, are they unaware of the fact that many of us live outside the US?!

On top of that, most of live releases were captured in Minneapolis :
-Rave
-New year's eve 87'
-Glam Slam

So why not First Avenue 86' ?

Well, the anniversary of Parade is only 5 months away so hopefully they'll release the bluray as part of the superdeluxe... if they release a super deluxe...if they dont then I pretty much give up any hope with the current estate

I'm wondering if they found new source material somewhere, especially for the first 30 minutes or so of the in-house video.

Why on earth would this not be part of the upcomogn release? Instantly gives it much more value.

because that would make the set to expensive for the poorer fans or the younger fans with no money or something.

The poorer fans around the globe also can't fly to Minnesota to attend this screening.

A official release is much more affordable than the travel expenses.

An official release?

Please.

That’s way too advanced and complex for the Estate.

lol

I cannot find a single source for your claim that's the concert they'll show.

It is odd that this event doesn't appear to be mentioned directly (as far as I can see)on any of the official accounts, and the screencap shown in the Facebook post looks to be from the same First avenue video that is circulating, with some very obvious issues.

Perhaps Bizzie’s scepticism is justified.

i'm thinking that perhaps with REMIXED and REMASTERED they mean that they'll
hit the "tracking" button on the vcr player and turn up the saturation on the crt tv smile

Instagram and Facebook both have posts from Paisley Park about the event. There is a short video and the basic details on the party.

I guess many of them have not travelled outside the United States and have no idea that Prince remained more popular outside the States.

I dunno, I've rethought this...Minneapolis always got first, more and frequent access to prince. Why shouldn't they get an exclusive screening of something? Also, according to discussion on this forum, the estate announced the near future release of several projects at the most recent celebration. Projects including around the world in a day deluxe edition, which they've made good on. Also announced was a parade sde...soooo...I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one...
