The funk monster that is A Love Bizarre live Taking note that Sheila E had won her first Grammy, I looked at the wonderful live video of A Love Bizarre again. I think this is from 86, Warfield Theater San Francisco, later released on VHS....
What a monter funk jam - and how silly cool Prince looked, very clear that this was a man following his own likings, not giving a toss what others think (pink midriff + trenchcoat + shades, anyone?)

Weren't we lucky to have witnessed all of this as and when it happened (at least the older ones around here)

I am going to really show my age with this one...
I held up a tape recorder to my tv speaker to record this song from this show. It was and will always be a JAM!

Probably my favorite video. I showed this to my staff at work a few years ago and one of them just stood there and asked "why are you watching this?" It ain't easy being a funk soldier.

Do you mean a solo Prince live rendition? That's not possible. ...unless you mean something from the sampler sets from his later shows. Autopen Signature

There is a Prince 'solo' version of the album version on youtube somewhere. They removed Sheila's vocal and promoted Prince's backing vocal.

Oh Cool,, This is exactly what I am hoping for ...
Kind of like how Glamorous Life on Originals had his guide vocal.. I get this would prob just be his backup vocals and not necessarily his 'guide' vocal.....
Thanks for the heads up... I will go searching

They want worse than this. They want AI fanmade crap . The Estate keeps talking about preserving Prince's legacy and certain people have a sense of entitlement that makes me uncomfortable in their online statements about what should be released from the vault or not, and what Prince would have wanted or not (when the only reason they're in a position to decide such things is because they have a lot of money, not because Prince handpicked them to protect his legacy), but if you ask me, a big crackdown on those AI made vids on YT would be a nice way to protect Prince's legacy. But why would they do that: YT gives them royalties for those, so suddenly Prince's legacy isn't so important, is it?
