Classic Pop magazine Prince special (2 vol). UK. https://www.classicpopmag...2-out-now/
Had a quick look. Certainly dense and full of content. Lots of interviews and quotes but unsure how much is new. Major coverage of D&P and PR, but does deal with the whole catalogue to some degree. £10.99 cover price. [Edited 6/28/24 9:10am]

Ordered them, they're on their way. Guess it's the only PR related anniversary thing we will get this year. Hope i'm dead wrong. - By the way, just noticed the Official PP instagram account celebrates the UTCM movie with a short 38th year celbration clip; The Wreckastow clip.

I subscribe to the magazine itself and a couple of the articles in here are reprints of ones that appeared in earlier issues - the coverage of D&P and 1999 for example. Unfortunately, as always happens with these sort of things, there are mistakes - in the D&P article Glam Slam is called "Grand Slam" multiple times, as it was in the original article, and a picture tagged as being a Parade show at First Avenue looks more like the UTCM premier show in Wyoming as there is clearly a polystyrene suspended ceiling which I doubt First Avenue had. Nothing really new, but a nice thing to have in your collection of Prince stuff all the same. Also, there are two covers - one from the Purple Rain era, and one from more like W2A, but the content inside is the same. The "volume 1" mentioned is the first Prince special Classic Pop released a few years ago.

It's a nice special. Seems Classic Pop are doing more to keep the brand alive than the Estate is at the moment. It's good that they drop Prince-related articles in the regular mag. It all helps.
