Another one might be Days Of Wild, I thought I read Prince wrote the song for Lenny years ago, but it never happened, I think I kind of hear Lenny on that track in parts.

I do recall somewhere Prince saying he made a record with Lenny but it could never come out because of labels, who knows if it was totally true I think he said it during the "slave" era battle. I know Paul Peterson mentioned getting calls to come play and he still has no clue what he was playing on, nothing was credited you were jamming but he was recording it all for possible use. A fan after prince passed told Paul "that's you on bass you know" and he said "is it?, oh shit it is"

I've seen Lenny 3x in concert here in the Detroit area. 1993, 1994 and again in 2019. He always seemed very chill. He's one of my favorites for that reason, hopefully he's cool in real life.

He's not the best lyricist (Mad TV did a skit on his lyrics), but the music always rocks and his message is positive.

I asked myself the same question and checked the credits on Discogs and listened to Lenny's version quickly on YT right after I saw the interview (I haven't gotten Lenny's new album yet), and I was under the impression the lyrics were different, so I assumed Tony rewrote the lyrics, thus probably removed Lenny's contributions. But I may be wrong, I'd have to listen to it again.

Haven't done a side-by-side but the lyrics appear to be the same to me. Perhaps he always should have been credited (though presumably this would have been under the Romeo Blue psuedonym he was going by at that time). Would love to know for sure though!
