Just remembered that it leaked and been enjoying it again all day.

I had a 'discussion' with someone online about that line being about taking cocaine (which it obviously is, including the sniffing sound), she was adamant Prnce would never make a song advocating taking drugs

Leaks like this and you still get fans "you know there's probably not enough material from those eras for a full SDE, maybe if they combine it as an SDE with 14 other albums in a 7 disc set it's a possibility".

Yes.

The circumstances surrounding his transition--nothing to deter the "Prince was the anti-drug icon" crowd. If anything they've quadrupled down. The man would never even touch a green tea he was so fervently straight-edge! That's their story and they're sticking to it.

The man who literally described himself as "celibate" in different eras. We can't trust others opinions, only what Prince said in his own words!

What an unsual song! I think it was recorded in 1976, well before he was signed to WB, and he sings it not in his flasetto, which "officially" he didn't do to - what - Controversy?

Also, I think this is the first song where he used a drum machine???
