Thanks for the links - long time since I’ve listened to Telepathy and I do like the instrumental version, hearing Eric Leeds’s part and then the extended part on club mix version is an interesting lesson, even the video is worth a watch. I was going to say it is definitely a snap shot of where Prince was at in 1987, once done with recording stuff for SOTT but I was surprised to see it was a late 1986 recording. It seems like a forerunner into things on the Batman album and his collabs with Patti La Belle, to me, similar types of sounds and instrumentation.

Edit: And forget to say that the instrumental definitely for me made me think of the first Madhouse album 8, which is no surprise as they were tracked around the same time, i.e. early October 1986.

so you don't like her DIS. PO. si. tion, ooh!?

Prince only exclusively works with the world's worst female singers. It's his artistic kink. At least by these period they stopped singing like xeroxes of one another. Lisa, Sheila, Jill, Wendy, Savannah... I'll fail that Pepsi challenge every time.

100%...he stayed giving chances to some bad sining and bad rapping women...Alan Leeds said Prince was doing A&R with his dick after Paisley Park opened up and Paisley Park Records was new..Carmen Electra's album is proof of this

Our Superman had a definite Kyrptonite to his art, no question.

The songs are still great though. "A&R with his dick," so many examples, look at Sheena Easton. Gives her "101", one of his greatest pieces everr. The caterwauling kind of fits the track on that one, too.

Sadly there's never been an official CD release of this album or single as I'd prefer a physical digital release but it's nice that we at least have a download option. Also, so people don't double-dip the Single Version on the EP appears to be identical to the album version. The only version not represented here is the 7" edit version.

Nice. I was just looking for this the other day. 192 kHz is insane overkill though. Such a waste of disk space
