Thanks for the links - long time since I’ve listened to Telepathy and I do like the instrumental version, hearing Eric Leeds’s part and then the extended part on club mix version is an interesting lesson, even the video is worth a watch. I was going to say it is definitely a snap shot of where Prince was at in 1987, once done with recording stuff for SOTT but I was surprised to see it was a late 1986 recording. It seems like a forerunner into things on the Batman album and his collabs with Patti La Belle, to me, similar types of sounds and instrumentation.
Edit: And forget to say that the instrumental definitely for me made me think of the first Madhouse album 8, which is no surprise as they were tracked around the same time, i.e. early October 1986. [Edited 10/20/23 14:47pm] There may or may not be something coming!

Love this song. The Prince version would have made Sign sde even better if it had been included Something BIG Is Coming.

Sadly there's never been an official CD release of this album or single as I'd prefer a physical digital release but it's nice that we at least have a download option. Also, so people don't double-dip the Single Version on the EP appears to be identical to the album version. The only version not represented here is the 7" edit version. [Edited 10/22/23 2:47am]

Nice. I was just looking for this the other day. 192 kHz is insane overkill though. Such a waste of disk space "Man, the living creature, the creating individual, is always more important than any established style or system" - Bruce Lee
