I really like Get Blue.

i like that i'm able to actually hear the keyboard/piano in Get Blue now, it's a nice little track.

live 4 love is interesting. I like live 4 love a lot for the guitar, which is not in this version. but
it segueing into The Flow and it's sparser arrangement is somehow very captivating, too.

I've always enjoyed "Get Blue." I believe it was on the In Rock bootleg boxset back in the 90s. This is a much cleaner version and I love it.

I think this version of "Live 4 Love" is great. I'm still going to edit Tony's dumbass out of it, but it's a great cut.

I cannot wait for the podcast.

Edit So apparently they uploaded the album version of L4L earlier, but have since replaced it with the earlier version, which I love more because there's no Tony M. in it.

Ok, now we're talking. These are great releases, stripped down, replayable, sexy, funky. Much prefer this Live 4 Love to the official version.

this "Live 4 Love" demo is okay.I think I prefer the album version.

Happy to have Get Blue in this quality after being used to the low quality bootleg version for many years. One of my favs from this era. Looking forward to the others in this quality.

Like Live 4 Love (early version) as well, needs to grow a bit more on me though.

The entire original album remastered can be played on Apple Music! Haven't had a chance to listen yet though. Is this actually the remastered tracks, or is it streaming the original versions?

Seems crazy that the whole album is available a month before release. But I guess they know we aren't really buying it for this and will stump up the cash for the vault tracks anyway.

You know that was always one of my problems with it. The whole album sounded thin and tinny. "Thunder" just grates on the ears. There was never quite enough bottom to the whole album, despite songs like "Push" (which felt like 7 DJs all sampling something different at the same time).

well the atmos mix on apple music sure fixes the bottom. it's pretty amazing how the whole
album breathes. it's quite different.

What's going on with this atmos mix? Some of it sounds awful to me. Gett Off sounds like a completely different mix, the snare hits sound muted or like they're going through a filter of some kind. I've had this issue before where Atmos stuff sounds like shit, especially with movies and the dialogue now sounding much less focused and unnatural.

Hearing the same thing on MacBook and iPhone, with both AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. If I turn atmos off, it has the sound profile that I'd expect and sounds great.

What's the atmos like for you guys? Is it the same but the mix just spaced differently? Or does the atmos mix actually have a different basic sound?

Listening on my iPhone (not preferred, I know) but the remasters were sounding horrid. Had a completely different feel to them. Turned the atmos off and much better- I now have my beloved songs back, and yes, sounding nice and crisp. I'm looking forward to trying the atmos mixes on a proper sound system.

I always considered "Get Blue" the epitome of the most unadventurous and through the motions Prince of the early 90's. Don't think the sound quality improvement will change my mind, but I'll give it a go.
