How did you hear prince's unreleased music and outtakes?
Did you buy the bootlegs to hear them, or did you have a chance to download them to hear them?

I heard most of Prince's unreleased stuff when audiogalaxy was around. Man they had everything you could think of. I miss that site.

I'll post before this thread gets locked down. I've gotten a few boots from a used-CD store in my area. Despite many folks who claim to have downloaded every boot imaginable, I haven't had any luck with that. Unfortunately, nobody can answer me here.

the very first bootlegg i got wuz kinna-sorta a studio nights sampler, plus the 12" of 'sd'. been havin that cd 4 four years now and i'm surprised i haven't worn it out, cuz initially i wuz bumpin 'sd' every single day...

but i learned about bootleggage from folks here on the org.

Mostly in record stores, you'll be amazed what you can find in the vegas ghetto record stores

Started with a tore-up copy of The Black Album that was circulating around campus when I was in college...then I discovered that the local hippie-dippie wrecka stow was selling outtakes/demos on vinyl...ever since then I've just kept my eyes open. More often than not, though, I manage to trade with friends...I'd rather share this stuff with for free with people I know, than make money off music that should be benefitting the artist who made it, ya know?
