I've heard an early piano version, but I think it's from a rehearsal or soundcheck rather than a true demo. |

The 1999 Tour Rehearsal version is probably as close as we will get to hear it. Look for it online as it's pretty easy to find. That rehearsal is like an 83 prince preset version of this song lol He made all the right calls in terms of how he changed the song Always cool to see the development of his songs over the years |

OnlyNDaUsa is right - Michael Howe did an interview with the Superdeluxeedition website for the 1999 SDE and said so:
https://superdeluxeeditio...-material/ “The only potential omission, I mean something that I was looking for that is rumoured to exist is a 1982 studio version of ‘Raspberry Beret’, which I simply have not found – and this is conjecture, I don’t know with certainty – but I think it’s because the two inch master that ended up being released on Around the World in a Day was basically an embellished version or an overdubbed version of whatever Prince started in 82.
