is the song just pop-up or was it in circulation since decades? I don't remember a rehearsal for this song at this stage?

Very loose. Interesting may be the operative word, and I wonder what other songs were played if this was part of a larger rehearsal. Crazy to hear him directing out all the parts on a song like this. I can't say this would've gone over well live in front of an audience, but maybe they could've worked on it more. Hard to do justice live to such a studio masterpiece creation.

Crystal Ball. | |

Wow I'm speechless! Prince was so prolific. I never could expect that "Crystal Ball" would B rehearsed (same session as "U Got The Look"?). "Money won't buy U happiness but it'll pay 4 the search."

it's impressive to hear it all performed in its glorious ten minutes. I'd like to found a complete live rendition of 3 Chain 'O Gold too, before or late. The audio is not the best (but not the worst either) and the live rendition penalizes some passages but enhances others. Maybe it was gems like these that would have embellished Prince's instrumental and "dark" part of Sign "O" The Times SDE...

Listening to it now, it has little cool horn interpolations from For Love (Jill Jones) and The Lines (Eric Leeds).

Now this is exciting. Far more exciting than these recent SDE previews, I must say.

Amen to that. It's surreal hearing this track performed by a full band
